The term “inner altar” was understood by the desert fathers and mothers to mean the innermost sacred space of the human heart. The place where our Creator has left his fingerprint, the place where our true selves reside, the place where true prayer and connection occurs, the very place that we, as spiritual beings, long with which to connect. This blog is an offering of my journey to such a connection.
